Developer
Confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the developer or provider details on the product page and match the full name. Don’t rely on a shortened description in search results.
Official manual · App Store purchase guide
Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms, available exclusively on the App Store. Check your storefront region, then verify the developer, official icon, and app ID. The purchase covers the client; you’ll need your own subscription or server details to connect.
The US storefront price is about $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store listing for device compatibility, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal.
Storefront and account region
Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. The apps you see depend on the country or region associated with the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. Your device’s location, system language, and the region shown on a product page in a browser don’t determine the storefront your account uses. Check this first to avoid trying different search terms over and over.
The button on this page links to Shadowrocket’s US storefront. The us in the URL identifies the storefront; it doesn’t switch your account’s country or region. Being able to view the product page in a browser doesn’t mean your account can complete the purchase. Check availability in the App Store on your device. If the app isn’t available in your current region, address the storefront issue first—not the app’s connection settings.
On your device, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. You may be asked to verify your identity. Check your current account details before deciding whether to use the option to change them. Labels may vary slightly by system version; follow the wording on your device.
Changing your country or region is an Apple account action. Your balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing settings, and payment method may affect whether the change can be completed. Follow the prompts to check the relevant requirements and provide accurate information. These instructions point to the relevant settings; they don’t guarantee that every account can change regions immediately. Don’t overlook unresolved account issues just to make a purchase.
If the product page opens but payment doesn’t go through, read the specific message from the App Store first. Handle payment verification, billing, and purchase restrictions in your App Store account. Repeatedly tapping Buy or searching for a different app name won’t fix a transaction issue. Check whether the purchase was already completed before trying again.
Verify the app
In Chinese, Shadowrocket is sometimes nicknamed “Little Rocket.” The nickname can help identify the app, but a similar name in search results doesn’t mean it’s the same product. Results may include apps with the same name or imitations. Open the product details and check the developer, icon, and app ID before purchasing. Relying on the name or icon color alone can lead you to a similar-looking result.
Confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the developer or provider details on the product page and match the full name. Don’t rely on a shortened description in search results.
Look for the rocket icon with a blue-and-purple outline on a white background. It should match the official icon in this site’s header. The icon is only one part of the check; verify the developer name and app ID as well.
Check that the product URL ends in id932747118; the numeric ID is 932747118. The app ID identifies the specific product in the store. It isn’t account information or proof of purchase.
Once all three details match, check the price and compatibility shown on the page. The App Store button on this page links to this product, but confirm that the product page opened on your device is the right one. If you reached it through search results, make sure the full developer name matches and the product URL still contains the same ID.
Complete purchases and future updates through the App Store. This site explains how to find the right listing and understand the process; it doesn’t replace the store’s transaction confirmation. Refer to the App Store listing for update details, system requirements, price, and purchase availability. Don’t rely on outdated information repeated elsewhere.
Get Shadowrocket on iPhone
On your iPhone, open the App Store button on this page, verify the three app details, and check compatibility and price. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. Depending on your device and account, the store may show options to buy, redownload, or open the app. Follow the button shown and complete any required verification. Before your first purchase, make sure you’re using the Apple ID you intend to keep for the purchase record.
Once the purchase is complete, wait for the App Store installation to finish, then open Shadowrocket from your Home Screen. Before you start, have your own subscription link or server details ready. Buying the client doesn’t provide a server or copy a list from another device. For import instructions, see the first connection guide.
When you import your own details and try to connect, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This allows the client to handle network connections on your device according to the configuration; it isn’t an additional purchase. Confirm that the prompt comes from Shadowrocket, then follow the system steps. If you dismissed it, try connecting again in the app and check whether the system asks for permission again.
Granting permission doesn’t confirm that the connection works. In Home, check the selected server and the Global Routing mode, then turn on the connection. Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to configuration, proxy, and direct connection modes; choose the one that fits your existing setup. Run Connectivity Test to check the connection rather than relying only on the status indicator at the top.
If you only need to restore an app you’ve already bought, check the purchase record in your App Store account first; you don’t need to start a new purchase. If the product page shows a price again, check the purchase account and storefront region, then follow the restore steps below.
iPad and other compatible devices
You can install Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad using the purchase record for the same Apple ID. If you bought it on iPhone, open the App Store on your iPad and confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the same account, then find the app in your purchased items. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements, purchase availability, and whether the purchase is universal.
On iPad, the wider screen may change the layout of lists, details, and settings. When following this manual, look for interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings rather than expecting buttons to appear in exactly the same place. The layout may also change when you rotate the screen or resize a window, but the steps—import details, select a server, and connect—remain the same.
A purchase gives you access to the app. Subscription links, server details, configuration files, and VPN permissions on each device are separate. After installing on iPad, check what’s actually there instead of assuming it matches your iPhone. If the list is empty, import details you’ve saved. If you have a backup, check its contents and source before restoring the items you need.
The two devices may also be on different networks. A configuration that works on one device doesn’t guarantee it will work on the other. On each device, grant permission, select a server, and run Connectivity Test. For help organizing subscriptions and servers across devices, see the server management manual. Keep App Store account issues separate from connection issues.
Restore on a new device
When you switch devices or reinstall the app, open the App Store, go to your account, and check your purchased items. Depending on your system, the section may be called “Apps” or “My Apps.” Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket, and tap the redownload button. You usually won’t need to pay again. Availability depends on the current storefront and your purchase history, so follow what the store shows.
If you can’t find the purchase, first check which account is used for Media & Purchases. Restoring iCloud data doesn’t confirm that you’re signed in to the original App Store purchase account. Then check whether the app is hidden in your purchased list and whether it’s available in your current country or region. If the page shows a price, find out why before assuming the original purchase is no longer valid.
After reinstalling, check whether your server details appear in Home, then check your configuration files in Config. Whether these items transfer to a new device depends on your backup method and the actual restore results. Before deleting anything from your old device, make sure your subscriptions, server details, and rules are all backed up.
If the new device is missing these details, import your existing subscription or server information and restore any configuration you’ve saved. Subscription links may contain credentials, so keep them somewhere you control rather than posting them in a public forum. After importing, select a default server, check Global Routing, grant VPN configuration permission on the new device, and test the connection.
VPN permission on your old device doesn’t automatically authorize the new one. Even if the restored lists look the same, start a connection on the new device and check the Connectivity Test results. Once you’ve confirmed that the required configuration, server, and test results are as expected, you can manage the data on your old device.
Check the App Store listing and account settings to see whether Family Sharing is supported and which family members or purchases are eligible. A family member’s purchase doesn’t guarantee that you can restore the app from your account. Family Sharing is also separate from personal subscriptions and server details; purchase eligibility doesn’t provide a connection configuration.
Price and purchase
Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase. The US storefront price is about $2.99; other storefronts show local currency, and the amount charged is confirmed at checkout. “One-time purchase” describes how you pay for the client; there’s no monthly client fee. Don’t infer the app’s purchase terms from the renewal schedule of another service.
Check the store price and final amount shown for your account before paying. The storefront, local currency, and payment terms may affect the displayed amount, so this page explains how to interpret the price rather than providing a fixed currency conversion. If the App Store lists other in-app purchases, read their descriptions before deciding. The store listing is the source of truth.
This distinction also matters when troubleshooting. An App Store purchase record confirms the purchase status; it doesn’t prove that a server connection is still working. If the app is installed but importing fails or a connection test doesn’t pass, check your own link, fields, configuration, and network. Rebuying the client won’t fix the issue. Likewise, changing server details won’t resolve a failed App Store payment.
App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the product page for the latest update details and the compatibility section for system requirements. This official manual doesn’t require a particular version number for installation. After purchasing, follow the guide to complete the full process—import details, select a server, connect, and test—before adjusting rules and settings.
Purchase FAQs
First identify whether the issue concerns your purchase, device compatibility, or connection settings, then check the relevant place.
Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple ID determines which storefront you can access. The “us” in the product link doesn’t change your account’s region. Check the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases and its country or region, then see whether the product is available there.
Start with the App Store message, then check the storefront region, device compatibility, available storage, payment status, and network connection. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. Resolve purchase or payment issues through your App Store account; connection settings won’t fix a store transaction.
Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket in your App Store account’s purchased items, and download it again. You usually won’t need to pay again. Redownloading depends on current storefront availability and your purchase history. After reinstalling, restore your own configuration or import subscription and server details you already have.
You can redownload Shadowrocket on a compatible device using the purchase history for the same Apple ID on your iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements, purchase availability, and whether the purchase is universal. A purchase record doesn’t automatically sync configurations between devices.
The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page in the App Store on the device you want to use. Refer to the listing for system requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal.
This official manual uses the English interface labels. Home is where you view servers and connection status; Add Server adds a server; Subscribe refers to an existing subscription; Config opens configuration files; and Settings opens the app settings. Follow the setup guide to import your details and make your first connection, then explore the other settings.
